Added a third 11' by 230' kiln and waste heat
boiler.

Completed new milling department composed of two
10'6"
by 15' tube mills in raw department powered by 900
h.p. motors through Symetro reducers, and two 10'
by 28' two-compartment mills in finish department
driven by 1250 h.p. motors through Symetro reducers.
Mills of both departments in closed circuit with
16' separators and bag dust collectors.
-Twelve
22' by 72' identical silos provided feed for the mills.

Constructed three additional 33' by 100' cement
silos, pack house, and automatic sack palletizer.

Constructed Fuller-Humboldt suspension
preheater and 12' by 165' Fuller kiln.
This replaced two of the 11' by 230' kilns.
The third was kept in standby. All three
kilns were equipped with ten compartment
modular glass bag dust collectors.

Installed a F.L. Smidth single pass
ball mill with a 1250 h.p. motor and Symetro
drive.

contracts for a second kiln and 4-stage preheater
