1948

Erected a 11' by 230' Allis-Chalmers kiln and
30,000 lb. Babcock & Wilcox boiler and 33,000
lb. open fired conventional combustion
boiler.
1951
-
Erected a kiln and waste heat boiler,
duplicate of those installed in 1948. Upon
completion, the 8' diameter kilns and the original
Babcock & Wilcox
waste heat boilers were taken out of service. |

1954
-
Installed a rotary dryer, 10' by 80', parallel
flow with the hot gas originating in a 14'
by 36' combustion chamber located at the
feed end of the dryer.
1955
-
Installed a 9375 K.V.A. General Electric
turbine and generator, new power plant building,
and moved the old 5,000 K.V.A. generating
plant to new building.
